By creating an account or using Haystak ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. Haystak is operated by InsuraSafe, LLC. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.
Haystak is intended for university students seeking internships or part-time work, and employers looking to hire them. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By signing up, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You may not share your account with others or use someone else's account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
When you upload a video, you grant InsuraSafe, LLC a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display it on the platform. You retain ownership. Videos must not contain nudity, hate speech, harassment, misleading information, or anything illegal. All videos are reviewed before going live.
Uploading a pitch is free. By doing so, you consent to employers viewing your video and reaching out via the contact information on your account.
An account is required to connect with students. By connecting, you agree to contact students only for legitimate employment purposes. Spam, harassment, or misuse of student contact information will result in immediate account termination.
Haystak is committed to equal opportunity. Employers using this platform agree not to engage in any form of unlawful discrimination in their hiring, outreach, or selection practices, including but not limited to discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state, or local law. Haystak does not control, supervise, or direct the hiring decisions of any employer using the Service. InsuraSafe, LLC is not an employer of record, staffing agency, or party to any employment relationship formed through the platform. Any employment decisions made by employers — including who they choose to contact, interview, or hire — are solely the responsibility of that employer. Violations of this section may result in immediate account termination and may be reported to appropriate authorities.
Haystak is a neutral technology platform that facilitates introductions between students and employers. InsuraSafe, LLC is not a party to any employment agreement, staffing arrangement, or labor contract formed as a result of connections made through the Service. We do not act as an employer, co-employer, joint employer, staffing agency, or employment agency. We have no control over, and expressly disclaim all liability for, the terms and conditions of any employment relationship, wage practices, working conditions, or compliance with labor laws by any employer using the Service.
You agree not to use the platform for any unlawful purpose, impersonate anyone, scrape or automate access, attempt unauthorized access, or use the platform to spam or harass others. Employers may not use the Service to seek unpaid labor in violation of applicable wage and hour laws, to misclassify workers, or to engage in any practice that violates the Fair Labor Standards Act or applicable state labor laws.
Haystak connects students and employers but does not guarantee employment, job offers, interviews, or any specific outcome. We do not verify employer credentials, business legitimacy, or compliance with employment law. Students and employers use the Service at their own risk. We are not responsible for the conduct of any user on or off the platform, including any discriminatory, harassing, or otherwise unlawful conduct by an employer.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless InsuraSafe, LLC, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses — including reasonable legal fees — arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, your violation of any applicable law or regulation, or any employment decision you make as an employer using the platform.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, InsuraSafe, LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to any claims related to hiring decisions, employment disputes, labor law violations, or discrimination by any employer or student using the platform.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Kansas, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Kansas.
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting a notice on the platform. Continued use of Haystak after changes constitutes acceptance.
