Haystak is operated by InsuraSafe, LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use haystak.com.
We collect account information (name, email, auth data), profile information (university, major, graduation year, seeking type, availability for students), video content you upload, and usage data such as videos viewed, connections made, and saves.
We use your information to operate and improve Haystak, display your pitch to employers, facilitate connections between students and employers, send notifications about connection requests, and moderate content.
When an employer connects with you, your name and email address are shared with that employer so they can contact you directly. By uploading a pitch, you consent to this. We do not sell your information to third parties or share it with advertisers.
We use Clerk (authentication), Supabase (database), Mux (video), Resend (email), and Vercel (hosting). Each has their own privacy policy governing how they handle your data.
Videos are processed and stored by Mux. Your pitch is visible to anyone on haystak.com including guests. Do not include sensitive personal information such as your home address, phone number, or financial details in your pitch.
We retain your information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal information and remove your pitch within 30 days.
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information and to withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account. Contact us at privacy@haystak.com to exercise any of these rights.
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
Haystak is not intended for anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us at privacy@haystak.com immediately.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting a notice on the platform. Continued use of Haystak after changes constitutes acceptance.
